Watercolor

I went today to Abu-Gosh, the arabic village near Jerusalem, and spent a nice time drawing the beautiful place, the St. Benedict monastery with my friend illustrator and watercolorist Yohanan Lakicevic. Here is what I've done.

Thumbelina

I did on this weekend the work for the new exhibition, who dedicated for the kid image in fairy tales. This one is for Thumbelina of H.C. Andersen. I started with watercolor, but then jump to the new technic for me - gouache plus color pencils. After all, i stuck in watercolor last 15 years...

Illustrators duel

I take a part in Agam Publishing House event, "Illustrators duel", were we draw on-line. It was my first public show... and very enjoyable. Here some photos from the happening.

Snow שלג הוא טופי

I illustrated a couple of months ago a book about the lovely dog, who name is Snow, and his real life story. Here are some sketches and colored double spreads.

My own cat Toffy was the inspiration of the book hero, cat Mitzi.

Storyboard

I recently had the honor of working with Josef Cedar, the Israeli movie director who almost won the Oscar in the Foreign Film category in 2008 for his work "Beaufort". I created a storybord for a part of his new feature "Footnote". Here are some of storyboard frames.

It took me a lot of time and doubts: which language to choose, which picts to share.. so I'm going to be a little bit eclectic here, but this is who I am: born and raised in Moscow, now living in Israel, thinking in Hebrew, prefer to read in Russian, and write here in... well, my king of English.
